Some Ideas for Individualized Variations on the Saprotroph Servitor Creation Process:

Dave’s Notes About Rituals for Servitor Raising:

  1. Open the grove or magical space
  2. Invoke the servitor
  3. Call for it to awaken, to come to life.
  4. Visualize life and energy being breathed into it and it coming to life.
  5. Address it directly, talk to it, give it a task.
  6. Keep track of results

Your wand and cauldron and 4 element bowls should be on the altar along with the letter.  Open the grove in the usual way, perform the Sphere of Protection Ritual in the standard way, take your seat.

Perform color breathing using the color of the Sigil.

Meditate on the Servitor.

When ready, rise and go to the altar.  Take your wand and dip its tip into the cauldron, imagining it filling with light of the color of the servitors sigil.   Then using the wand like a brush, paint the sigil in the air above the cauldron visualizing it shining there.

Say words such as “By the light that was before the worlds, by the creative power of Awen, I trace the sigil of [name of servitor].

[Name] [Name] [Name] I command you to appear on this altar.

Concentrate on the servitor being upon the altar.  Visualize it there in its entirety.

“O [Name], you have been crafted from the minds of the initiated that you may share in the work of our magic.  Before you take up that work, you must make a trip through the four elements.”

Circle around the altar to the east side facing the center

“Arise, and enter the realm of air.”

Pick up the air cauldron and move it around the servitor ensuring every part receives some of the smoke.  Say words like

“In the name of [ ] and by the powers of the realm of air I purify you [Name] and strengthen you for your work.”

Concentrate on the idea that the incense smoke is cleansing the servitor and filling it with the powers of the element of air. When it feels right, return the air cauldron to the altar.

Circle around the altar to the south side facing the center

“Arise, and enter the realm of fire.”

Pick up the fire cauldron  and move it around the servitor, ensuring every part receives heat and light from the flame.  Say words like

“In the name of [  ] and by the powers of the realm of fire I purify you [Name] and strengthen you for your work.”

Concentrate on the idea that the heat of the flame is cleansing the servitor and filling it with the powers of the element of fire. When it feels right, return the fire cauldron to the altar.

Circle around the altar to the west side facing the center

“Arise, and enter the realm of water.”

Pick up the water cauldron, dip your fingers of one hand into the water and sprinkle the servitor with it, so that every part receives some of the water.  Say words like

“In the name of [  ] and by the powers of the realm of water I purify you [Name] and strengthen you for your work.”

Concentrate on the idea that the water is cleansing the servitor and filling it with the powers of the element of water. When it feels right, return the water cauldron to the altar.

Circle around the altar to the north side facing the center

“Arise, and enter the realm of earth.”

Pick up the earth cauldron, dip your fingers of one hand into the salt or soil and sprinkle the servitor with it, so that every part receives some of the salt or soil.  Say words like

“In the name of [ ] and by the powers of the realm of earth I purify you [Name] and strengthen you for your work.”

Concentrate on the idea that the salt or soil is cleansing the servitor and filling it with the powers of the element of earth. When it feels right, return the wand to the altar.

Say words like

“When the four material elements are in balance, the element of spirit appears in their midst”

Use the wand to trace an invoking heather pentagram over the altar, with the lower point just below the servitor.

Visualize: the pentagram in silver light.

“I invoke Spirit Below. Let the telluric current ascend into [Name] and fill this servitor with its might.”

Imagine a shaft of silver light rising up from the heart of the Earth to shine into the servitor.  Maintain this imagery for several minutes.

Use the wand to trace the invoking oak pentagram over the altar, with the upper point just above the servitor.

Visualize: the pentagram in golden light

“I invoke Spirit Above. Let the solar current descend into [Name] and fill this servitor with its might.”

Imagine a shaft of golden light descending  down from high above you to shine into the servitor.

Maintain this imagery for several minutes.

Point the wand in the center at the servitor

“From above to below, from below to above, the two currents are awakened.  I invoke Spirit Within. Let the lunar current be born within [Name] and fill this servitor with the power of Awen.”

Visualize: Imagine the golden solar current and the silver telluric current both shining into the servitor at once, and then see them fuse into pure white light, the color of lightning, in and around the servitor.  Imagine the disk of the Moon surrounding the servitor.

Imagine the servitor coming to life.

Maintain this imagery for several minutes.

“Rise [Name] and meet your creator.”

Address the servitor by its name, talk with it, and give it its first task.

Perform a Sphere of Protection Ritual with the servitor only in the invoking form, calling upon the elements to confirm and strengthen  the power of [Name].

At Spirit Within call upon the element to guide [Name] in its work.

Proceed to grove closing.

Luxa’s Notes About the Creation of the First Saprotroph:

I wanted my Saprotroph to have a link to me that felt biological since I will be using it to, among other things, help me obtain a higher degree of physical and psychological health. I used a few different material components to symbolize this during the generation ritual I conducted, including blood and “amniotic water”  (created for the purpose of the ritual). During step 5 of the ritual outlined above, I mixed these in an eggshell from an egg with which I conducted ovamancy (egg divination) prior to the working.

So far, my experience with Myrins (my Saprotroph) has been overwhelmingly positive. Since creating it, I have made changes to my diet that have helped to increase my energy and greatly reduced the digestive distress I used to suffer. I have also seen a decrease in intrusive thoughts and negative self-talk. (October 30th, 2021).

The Green Mushroom ‘Zygospore’ or ‘Breeding’ Sigil  can be imagined as a two-dimensional representation of two hyphosigils spinning together. Here, the ‘M’ in TGM is represented by the symbol of Awen. The Zygospore Sigil also symbolizes fungal hyphae “touching tips” in order to exchange genetic material.

The Green Mushroom Statement of Resistance:

Resist.

Resist by maintaining Sovereignty of the Self.

Resist by maintaining Love of the Self.

Resist by maintaining fierce Loyalty to Love and Pleasure.

Resist with acts of Radical Kindness.

Focus on the Path to Better Times.
